What is the longest movie on a single sided single layer dvd?
 

I am curious as to the capacity of a SS-SL dvd. So far I have found Imamura's Black Rain at 123 minutes. Anyone know of anything longer?

"The Missiles of October" is single layer, single side, 156 minutes.

AUDIO: ...Again, a low bitrate doesn't do the sound any favors, with a 96 kBps audio rate, which is the lowest I think I've ever seen on a DVD.

Before it was available legitimately, there was a bootleg of Titanic with all 3 hours and 14 minutes on a single layer.

Isn't the R1 Scarface single layered? It has the movie (170 min) and an hour long documentary on it.

I think I have you all beat, the ali dvd 3 fights, and a 1 hour documentary.

I think Navarre did a bootleg DVD of Birth of a Nation off of Image's original LD. That's 178 minutes on one layer. Ouch.

I was going to say Dune at 2:15, but that's nothing compared to some of those you guys named off :eek:

actually mine is duel layered.

Which title do you mean? I'm talking about David Lynch's Dune, I'm fairly certain it's a single layer but I could be wrong.

not sure because i sold mine, but I am pretty sure that that was a dual layered dvd.

According to Amazon, Scarface is dual layer
