Short Circuit 1

Anyone know where I can pick up a copy of Short Circuit 1 w/o having to pay an enormous price for this out-of-print movie?

Thanks.

It sucks that this title is OOP, but there is a SE coming out. I don't know when exactly, but it may come out this year (hopefully!)

It's coming out in about a month, according to DVDEmpire:

I doubt it, if it was coming out, why haven't we heard about it and why isn't another site selling it?

The UPC code is 111111111111? Yeah whatever!! Don't trust online stores for release info,

There was talks of this several months ago so I do think it is true.

I already thought there was a special edition of this film out?

DVD Box Office has it listed for $18.54 (24.95 Canadian). I clicked "buy" and it went in my cart. Doesn't say anything about being out of stock.

According to an e-mail reply I received from Image Entertainment, the upcoming release is just a reissue of the original. No SE :(

I own the first release (purchased it years ago) and the main problem with the disc is the fact that it's non-anamorphic.

To me, it seems a little bit "edgier" than some of the other non-anamorphic transfers that I own in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio. For example, it's "edgier" than Star Trek:Generations, Titanic, and the original Planet of the Apes. (Geez! Are we *ever* gonna' get these titles in anamorphic editions??)

Other than that, it's a pretty nice disc with a decent set of supplements.

Here's a review link on that early disc (BTW, the author of this review seems much more impressed with the transfer than I am):

Hopefully, if it is re-released, it'll be anamorphic ...

hi,
I know this may be a little off topic, but has anyone heard of a release of my other favorite 80's movies, The B.R.A.T. Patrol and The Day Dad went Apes. Any help would be nice.
