Did this miss it's street date? I checked at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Target: Nothing at all in South San Diego. BlockBuster didn't even have it for rent.

Wait! Let's see if any of us win it first!

The Dead Zone: Season 1 Giveaway

Actually, I looked for it yesterday in Target, Suncoast and Fred Meyer - nobody had it in stock... I couldn't bring myself to go into Wal-Mart...

I couldn't find it at Best Buy, Wal-Mart or Costco.

All the Tower Video locations in Honolulu actually have it mispriced at 19.99. Their ordering system must of confused Season One with the previously released pilot.

Whoever's in Hawaii, get it at Towers!

Edit: Weird.....I looked up Dead Zone Season One on the Towers website and it has it for 20.99...

http://www.towerrecords.com/product....2811335&cc=USD

On Amazon and other online stores, this dvd set is selling for 35.00 and up......

The msrp is supposed to be 49.99. But on the towers site, it lists msrp as 24.99.

Could this be a national misprint or a really good sale?

I was just coming back to this thread to thank you. After I read your pre-edit post, I went to Towerrecords.com and sure enough, they have it mispriced there too. Even with tax and shipping, it came to only $25.57. Great price! Thanks!!

Another DVDtalker and I went to a B&M Towers today and were really suprised by the price. He picked it up on the spot.

Unfortunately, I preordered this on Amazon last week (for 35.00).
How is Amazon's return policy?

In Honolulu, Dead Zone was a no-show at Costco and Circuit City. But like Cucumber said, I bought it at Towers for $19.99. Get it while you can! But also, there's a mail-away for an "unaired" pilot episode. It says the set has to be purchased after 6/20. So, I guess I can't get the DVD? I'll see if Lions Gate has an e-mail address.

Towers should ship the season set because it has a different order number from the pilot episode...

Pilot Episode

First Season

For those who bought The Dead Zone Season 1 today I have an e-mail address for Lions Gate: [email protected]. I'm going to e-mail them to see if I can still get the free DVD although it says it has to be purchased between 6/20/03 and 9/20/03.

I'm pretty sure that's a misprint. I'm sure lions gate will still take offers.

...and its official release is today.

Here's The Dead Zone Season 1 on the Lions Gate home site. It specifically says that it comes out on 6/17/03. Actually, you should take a look at the special features. For $20 it has a commentary for every show plus a featurette on every disc. The only drawback to this set it that it's fold-out without a cardboard sleeve. Kinda like how E.T. did it. I'm sure that'll tick off a lot of people here.

well I ordered a set. Too bad I can't just drive down to the local store but there is only 1 in Michigan and it is way too far for me to go to. I hope this is honored if it is a misprint.

Hey, I thought this season set came with the pilot. The first two episodes are the pilot movie.

Aren't they?

Yes, the first two episodes are the pilot movie. But what I'm curious about is that the bounceback card says you can recieve the unaired pilot. So what is the unaired pilot? I thought the bounceback card was only for the disc that was previously released...

I think this deal will not come thru. I just logged onto the site and this title is now a "special order" title. unless they recieved so many orders that they are now sold out, but I just don't see myself being lucky enough to get it. I hope I'm wrong.

Just as long as you ordered it before the special order notice popped up you should be okay. Think positive.

Is your local Towers really THAT far away? Anyway, you should call before you go.
