I've been holding off purchasing The Good the Bad and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, Hang 'Em High, and For a Few Dollars more because of the lack of extras and the non-anamorphic transfer. Any chance they will get rereleased? Just wondering because Unforgiven got a nice 2 disk rerelease last year. These films deserve a better DVD.

Good, the Bad & the Ugly is the only one on the list, but it's not confirmed.

BTW, last week was the time to get them @ $6.00ea at BB.

The rumor is that they're working on a SE for The Good the Bad and the Ugly. &nbsp

So soon you forget

Eastwoods movies were one of the first series out on DVD. The manufacturers had to test one series they picked on Clint, I have them all yes some are dated.

With any format there s a trial and error oe completes sucess, black bars were against them, not as much as today since we have anamorphic wide screens. But the Eastood westerns had to be the sacrifice to see if people would accept the new format. You people that don't remember we were paying $30 a piece for these early discs. Clint went into the Dirty Harry films they wern't the greatest either.

I hate to say this but it was films like Basic Instinct, Deep Impact, Armageddon that caught the home theater crowd, and thousands like me telling people to turn their lights off. Watch the movie as if they where at a movie theater. Then we just start getting used to DVD and the news of blu-ray and incompatabilty rose its ugly head.

So soon you forget

Agreed, new transfers, etc, would be VERY welcome...

FYI... The Good The Bad and The Ugly + Hang em' High have anamorphic transfers. Go on and pick em' up for cheap. No such luck on the others however...
