Decline of the Western Civilization DVD News
This is probably my number one want(Decline 1). I have an OK "import" DVD copy taken from the laserdisc. An official release with bonus footage(shirley there are tons of extra footage of the various bands and it sounds like some bands not in the movie(the Gears) may be included.
Here is some news taken from the Artifix Records website:
DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION: Good news! At a recent screening in Hollywood, filmmmaker Penelope Spheeris, related that all 3 of the films in the "Decline of Western Civilization" series will soon be available on VHS and DVD (possibly as a box set). She also hinted at the possibility of bonus material being included. Some of the bonus material that she hinted at included never before seen footage of the GEARS that she filmed for the first movie. More on this as it develops
Anyone have any additonal info on this encouraging report????

I saw the third one at a film festival in Austin back in 1998. It was shot on video and documented the lives of homeless punk kids in LA. Rumor was that Ms. Spheeris had begun a relationship with one of these kids 25 years her juinor.

I'd buy at least Parts One and Two.
I've never seen Part One, but I have a VHS of Part Two, and it's freaking hilarious.
I'm gonna be a rock star.
ODIN! ODIN! ODIN! ODIN! ODIN!
