Dts is an alternative audio codec to Dolby Digital. Some people find it sounds better than Dolby, some do not.

To listen to a sound track in Dts you must have:

1) a disc w/ a Dts track (it s/d be noted on the case);

2) a DVD player that passes the Dts signal (most do--there s/d be a Dts logo on the player);

3) a receiver capable of decoding Dts (it s/d be noted on the receiver).

Often it is necessary to select the Dts track from the Audio Options on the Disc. Some DVD players also require that you enable Dts (a one time action) from the player's setup menu. If you have problems; post a question in the hardware forum.

We just had a thread on this yesterday or the other day. It's covered in the Frequent Topics thread stickied to the top of the forum... please read the thread and find DTS in the glossary.
