I doubt we'll see a commentary from Stone. First, DePalma doesn't do commentaries, and so I doubt he'll be happy if Universal allowed someone else to do one (although Laurent Bouzereau did do a commentary on Criterion's Carrie LD). Second, Stone has yet to do a commentary for any film that he wrote but didn't direct. Based on those two things, I'm not holding my breath.

How can you have a SE of SCARFACE without at least one F****n commentary??.

If Depalma (aka Mr Dickhead!), Stone and Pacino won't do a commentary who's left??..Steven Bauer or Michelle Pheiffer??

Maybe they'll bring in of the those "film scholars" or movie critics Criterion uses..

Soon, we shall all laugh at the high-rollers on MTV Cribs with their inferior DVDS! "YEAH, Puffy, I got better DVDs than YOU!"

No, wait, that sounds pathetic. Yet I know I'll say that at least once, sadly.

forget the commentaries, the bouzereau documentaries are where it's at. Let's hope they are not broken up into little pieces like on the steven spielberg discs. i hate that.

Oh crap - I still have 17 Animal House DVDs to sell from their Columbia House days!!!

I wouldn't have waited but I always hated listing real DVDs in the midst of bootlegs.

Damn it - damn it - damn it!!!!

They probably will be. Royalty rates jump up at the 30 minute mark, so studios chop up the docs to keep more money in their pockets.

So, is the new Scarface release going to be the original sound, etc? I remember a while back that there were rumors of the musics being redone.

Anyone know for sure whether the soundtrack will not be butchered?

All that is known about specs from the DVDFile blurb is anamorpic widescreen and DD 5.1 remixes on each. Be patient, and I'm sure we'll find out more soon.

I have had Animal house for months from Region 4 disc

Animal House has been in my sauder brand cabinets for months, I really don't care to see a food acter like Al Pacino in another drug movie like Blow, Tony Montana is cuban american that becomes a americanized cuban blah blah blah.

I knew somebody was going to ask this. This will soon become the second most asked question now that Scarface is announced. #1 still being Star Wars. There is a goodfellas SE in the works, but nothing set in stone now.

Al Pacino wasn't in Blow. Johnny Depp was, silly Danol .

As long as the new Scarface has all the extras from the previous edition and a much better image, I'll be very happy.
