Hmmm...

The 1-disc has the film with one 5.1 track on a DVD-9.

The 2-disc one has the film with 5.1 and five 2.0 tracks on a DVD-9 and half of a DVD-9 (disc 2)

The 2-discer ought to be better since it has 14 GB to breathe, rather than the 1-discer's 9 GB.

A Superbit edition may happen...which would have DD 5.1 and DTS 5.1 across two DVD-9's.

Because on the LE release, the film was split over two discs, and it looks like the transfer was given a lot of room to breathe...

Whereas the film was CRAMMED onto the single disc - nearly half the bitrate - although I didn't test it with one of those programmes. I'm sure someone has and can let us know how the numbers play out.

The average bitrate of the single disc version is 4.21. (The 2-disc is 5.95 as mentioned above.)

Thanks Steve. I knew someone else would do the work for me.

So there you have it. Single Disc, not so good.

Double Disc - sweet sweet action.

You make the call!
