Oh wow, I didn't even know they had one planned. I was going to buy the old version soon too. I'll hold back then I guess. Thank God for DVDTalk!

What the hell?

I was planning a Peter Bogdanovich week with Tragets, Daisy Miller, and Paper Moon all coming out at the same time.

I have the OOP version but I really wanted the re-issue with the commentary track.

Ok, time for some "that was in bad taste" kids!

--Perhaps it was delayed because they are working on a special box for the collectors edition, you know, shaped like rocky.

I bet they want to hold it until "Son of the Mask" comes out next year. Then they can throw in the free movie ticket and promote both at the same time.

Wrong Movie... it was established earlier in the thread, that this is not in reference to New Line's THE MASK which starred Jim Carrey and for which a sequel is coming next year...they're talking about a totally different movie.

Perhaps they are hard at work digitally replacing Eric Stoltz in every frame with Michael J Fox?

Seriously, I think I remember there being some music rights issues that has held up this film for years.
