Any news re: Disney fixing Miyazaki DVDs?

Between the reports of flawed subtitles in the "Castle in the Sky" set and mistimed sound effects in "Kiki's Delivery Service", is there any word that Disney will correct these problems? I've wanted to get these films on DVD for some time, but not in the flawed form currently available. If there is no fix on the horizon, I might have go get the R2 Japanese version of Laputa and the R3 Taiwan version of Kiki...

Uhhhh... what problems are you referring to?

The subtitles in Castle in the Sky seemed a coherent enough translation, and I didn't notice any mistimed sound effects in Kiki.

I have heard a report of someone's disc switching to the Spanish dub for the last scene of Kiki, but that problem is not present on my copy.

Could you refer us to any of the articles or reviews that reported these problems? I must have missed them....

The problems are very, very minor... Mostly from Anime nitpickers. I wouldn't sweat it. They wouldn't fix such minor problems anyway.

The US and Japanese versions are subtitled. The UK version is dubtitled.

Oh yeah! I forgot about the UK version being dubtitled. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Home theater forum has a thread mentioning that the sound effects are mistimed on Kiki's Delivery Service (especially noticable on the English track). I'm not sure how bad it is, or if its just some people being very anal about it, but I have to admit that its making me hesitate to pick up the disc. (but then again, I already have the R2 Spirited Away with the dreaded red tint, so maybe I shouldn't be so picky)

I didn't notice any mistimed sound effects on the Japanese track.

The English dubbing on this movie sucks anyway, and the English track replaces all of the very catchy Japanese songs with bland American songs instead (not just different lyrics, completely different songs).

Just watch the Japanese track.
