What's the best DVD release day ever??

Today, June 3, has to be up there in the top 10. What's everybody else's best and biggest DVD release day ever? For me, it was when the special edition's of Fight Club, Magnolia and Boogie Nights all came out on that great day in June 2000.

Did Fellowship of the Ring and Simpsons Season 2 come out on the same day? Today is pretty good though.

For me it will be the day i get the chance to buy St Elsewhere Season Sets...but perhaps sooner and more realistically will be the day Bladerunner SE hits the shelves.

August 29, 2000. I remember that day I picked up T2: Ultimate Edition, Braveheart, Boogie Nights(2-disc), and Magnolia. And even though they weren't released that day, I also got Kentucky Fried Movie and Any Given Sunday(this came out September 1, 2000). North By Northwest also came out that same day, but I didn't pick that one up til much later.

have to agree...today was pretty good (and expensive). haven't been hit this hard in awhile. didn't hurt that most of my purchases came with some sort of bonus incentive, making it more memorable than "routine" releases.

t2 extreme
die another day
south park: s2
ds9: s3
animatrix 2cd

June 6th is D-Day.

June 3rd is DVD-Day.

Great, another memorial to build.

Yeah today was pretty big. Ridiculous amounts of Bond flew off the shelves at work, along with Animatrix, Southpark Season 2. The double dips were doing steady yet slow business.

The day Simpsons Season 1, LOTR, and Star Trek 2 was a pretty big day also.

I'm sure there are many memorable November dates as well.

I can't remember shelling out that much $ at a B&M until yesterday... it was always online... but the alas those days are gone now.

Walked out of Best Buy with The Animatrix, Die Another Day (and the Bond Girls DVD), South Park Season 2... and I'm making a trip to Target for T2 and that dastardly metal case. If I wasn't broke, I would have also ordered Midnight Run and Opportunity Knocks from DDD.

Next week's no better. While I want more (Old School, Robin Hood), I'm only picking up Buffy... and even then I'm having pangs of pocketbook guilt.
