R1 non-anamorphic DVDs vs. other-Region anamorphic counterparts?

Has anyone compiled a list of non-anamorphic Region 1 DVDs that have an anamorphic DVD counterpart in some other region?

Some Like It Hot jumps into my mind (I talked my mother out of buying it last week), but of course there is a ton of others. I too hope someone has a list.

Dan if you have a JVC XVS500BK mod for Regions 1-6, you have X,Y, Scaling for *any* PAL Discs R2 & R4

Case in Point R4 "The Final Countdown" is 2.35:1 when I use my scaler, I can scale it to be anamorphic. If you need X, Y, Scaling on Region 1, you'll need to buy a Chinese Malata aready mod.

I think you're a bit confused as to what "anamorphic widescreen" means.

Danol is a bit confused about a lot of things.

For the record, the Final Countdown disc is 1.85:1 non-anamorphic letterbox.
