Sink The Bismarck DVD - Possible Problem

Well......I just watched my new copy of Sink The Bismarck and have a problem. Looking at the reviews I'm thinking it may be a problem disc. or my player

First, let me say I'm using a Hitachi 305 to play the DVD. Since I've had this player I've never had a single disc which has given me a problem out of over 1,000.

OK...The picture quality is just fine. However, just about when the battle between the Hood and Bismarck begins I start to get a number of short freezes in the presentation. It's ok to watch, but a bit annoying.

Has anyone had a problem playing this disc Any ideas I'm leaning towards it being the disc, but would like to get some input before calling Amazon for a replacement.

Thanks

I have the disc and will be watching it this weekend so I will let you know if I encounter ay problems.

Did you try the disc in another player(s)? It could be equally a problem with the disc or the player. If you bought it locally the easiest thing to do is get a replacement and if it still does it then your player is to blame. That doesn't mean your player is going bad as most players will have slight problems with a few DVD's from time to time.

It sounds like a problem with the disc. I've had similar problems with several Fox dvds. Once I got a replacement, the problem was gone. I've never experienced this with a dvd from any other studio.

No Problems at all with disc skipping!

I had no problems watching Kenneth More, Dana winters, Geofry Keene (CSNS), Karel Stepanack (Fleet Commander Lutjens), and Laurence Neismith (First Sea Lord). Torpedos running hot, straight, and normal. DVD 2.35:1 WS/A and STereo sound.

No Problems with Wide Screen/Anamorphic and ST-Stereo sound.

I just wanted to follow-up..............

I received a replacement disc and it played without a problem using the same DVD player It was a flaw in the first disc.

Thanks again for the input
