The one DVD extra feature you like the most?

Directors Commentary for me. :) Yours?

ctyankee 05-22-03 08:22 PM

Music Score Isolated Audio Track

aphex944 05-22-03 08:25 PM

Trailers.. don't know why, I just like watching them :)

matome 05-22-03 08:27 PM

Deleted scenes\bloopers\outtakes are usually the only extras I bother to check out.

pdjennings 05-22-03 08:27 PM

deleted scenes.

Most useless: ROM features

MasterofDVD 05-22-03 08:32 PM

I love a good commentary but I'm very picky about them. The "oh....I remember this scene" type doesn't do it for me at all.

I like a great deal of info and behind the scenes stuff. The more people in it the better, most of the time.

reubs82 05-22-03 08:33 PM

Inserts.

Actually, when I get a chance to listen to the commentaries I really enjoy them.

agree on both.

Simpson Purist 05-22-03 08:44 PM

In-depth behind the scenes documentaries

RobCA 05-22-03 09:01 PM

Deleted scenes, particularly alternate endings.

tdoane78 05-22-03 09:10 PM

Trailers without a doubt.

mookyman 05-22-03 09:19 PM

Commentaries, although sometimes a strong featurette is preferential.

SCHMEGGA 05-22-03 09:21 PM

Deleted scenes.

Mountain Biker 05-22-03 09:23 PM

For my favorite movies, definitely commentaries ( I can't wait for Valley Girl, which will have 2 or 3, I believe :) ).

All others, normally deleted scenes, documentaries, and trailers

illennium 05-22-03 09:30 PM

Commentaries by historians and scholars.

William Fuld 05-22-03 09:36 PM

Commentaries.

Cosmic Bus 05-22-03 09:37 PM

Deleted scenes and alternate endings.

Tha Freak 05-22-03 09:43 PM

re-release that I haven't bought yet and includes DTS :D

I like deleted scenes...sometimes I think they suck and sometimes I wonder why they didn't included them in the DVD release as a director's cut!

marty888 05-22-03 09:56 PM

Another  for commentaries, and documentaries that are not simply puff pieces.

ileff 05-22-03 10:16 PM

alternate angles

for example criterion beastie boys

Ditto. DVDs like Superman, Ben Hur, The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca and another with those kind of documentaries. I found that kind of extra to be the most satisfying and rewarding features.

btornado 05-22-03 10:36 PM

Commentaries, in-depth behind the scenes documentaries, trailers.

mr.rs 05-22-03 10:46 PM

The more time goes on I find myself skipping alot of the "special features".

The only ones worth a damn are the deleted scenes and alternate ending to me.
I like to see the scenes that coulda, shoulda or might have been only if.............

darkflounder 05-23-03 12:35 AM

Drunken commentaries. I wish more movies would have commentaries like the one on Cannibal: The Musical and Dogma, where they spend most of their time cracking jokes and pointing out the screw ups in the movie.

Every Ben Affleck movie should have a commentary like this. His ripping of Chasing Amy and Dogma would have been perfect for Pearl Harbor and Armageddon.

The Matrix has a DVD-ROM feature that lets you participate in an online chat with the Wachowski brothers while watching the movie. Very cool, but they haven't done a chat like that in almost a year.
