20,000 Leagues Memorabilia Collectors (Funniest/Weirdest thing ever)

Has anyone watched the documentary interview with the 20,000 Leagues memorabilia collectors yet?

It's the most rediculous thing I've ever seen. What's wrong with these guys? The photography is so bad. The cameraman must have been on coke. The whole thing plays like a mockumentary. Like a Spinal Tap version of a DVD suplement.

If I didn't know the Disney Co. has zero sense of humor, I'd think it was a put on.

I'm still wating on my 20K Leagues from DDD, but I did see something pretty crazy on TV a few months ago.

While channel surfing, I stopped at the local PBS station and caught a few minutes of Antiques Roadshow, and someone had brought in an actual special effects miniature (about 5' long) used during filming of the Nautilus.

I've seen it..it reminds me of the poor camera work on the North By Northwest documentary on the dvd. I think it's intentional...trying to be artistic

Do you guys happen to know who filmed the documentary? Is it similar to the documentary on the Magnolia DVD or the documentary on the Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me DVD? Those were both horrible as well...AND done intentionally. I believe the guy's name was Mark Rance who produced it.

Nah..it's worse than the Magnolia doc....I don't think it says who shot it.

I saw that too. That was the coolest thing I've ever seen on Antiques Roadshow.

As for the doc: I don't know who filmed it. Its only about 8 minutes long. It's kind of old, I think it was on the Laserdisc. It isn't hand held and fly on the wall like the Magnolia doc. This was shot on a stage w/ lights but the camera was mostly hand held, it cuts to all these weird angles behind the people being interviewed. The multiple cameras are all different format so the texture and skin tone and quality vary drasticly from angle to angle.

The guys being interviewed are weirder than Siegfried and Roy

Definiely bizarre - both the intense committment of the two brothers, as well as the style in which they were filmed - almost as if the cameraman was thinking "hey, these guys are slightly off - so I'll film them that way."
