There's tons to get that week (Region 2 included), so I have to make a choice. Please help...

This will be moved, but I would go with The Sure Thing if I had to pick one.

You're asking people which movie to get, which qualifies as a recommendation which is why it should be in the DVD Reviews & Recommendation section.

Definitely The Sure Thing. It's a classic and way overdue on DVD. Valley Girl is essentially a throwaway 80's flick. IMHO.

That's a hard choice, I like both (even though Valley Girl is kind of cheese, it's good cheese) but I like The Sure Thing better.

I've never seen The Sure Thing, but can't wait for Valley Girl. I have the VHS copy as well as both soundtracks. It's one of those movies that I'm compelled to watch if I catch it on TV when I'm flipping channels.

I've never seen Valley Girl, but The Sure Thing is a great movie. This was Rob Reiner's sophomore directorial effort (Spinal Tap was first), and could probably best be described as an intelligently written teenage romantic comedy. But don't let that scare you, it's also very funny.

No Contest : Valley Girl by a mile.

Sure Thing is great...I love Cusack...but Valley Girl IS the 80's, in so many ways. Cheesy...to be sure, but the music is spot on. Plus...there's the 2 "live" Plimsouls performances.

Same here, only about an extra $13 to get both so for me it is a no brainer...

Truthfully I think both are good. Valley Girl is the only one I've got pre-ordered right now, so that's my priority and the one I voted for. Sure Thing is the better-made film (you can thank Meathead for that), but Valley Girl has more repeat viewing potential for me because of the kitch factor, Nicolas Cage and the superior soundtrack.
