Will and Grace Season 1 NEWS & SPECS!

Hey all,

Watched the season finale of Will and Grace tonight and was totally surprised by the ad for the Season 1 set which is coming out August 12th. Unless they've bumped it up, they said to check out www.shopnbc.com. It's there....it's a pre-order but says it will ship in 8-10 weeks. Still earlier than the August release date.

Check it out:

$44.95 price tag
Special DVD features: Cast, Director and Creators Interviews, Interactive Menu and 11 Themed Featurettes. Packed with extras- including all new cast interviews conducted by Clay Smith from Access Hollywood.

Would post the cover pic if I knew how.

Good stuff!

I'm wondering if this is the same set that's coming out on August 12th, which I assume will be available everywhere? If so, and $44.95 is the SRP, I'll wait until the 8/12 release date to buy it, since it should be easy to find for about $30.

Either way, this set WILL be mine!

I have to say, that's one ugly cover. The UK releases on individual DVDs (especially for season 2) have much nicer cover art.

Yeah, that cover doesn't compliment the cast at all. Very unflattering.

Question:

Has anyone bothered ordering it from NBC.com? Just wondering what the quailty is and how the extras are.

Judging by the 8-10 weeks shipping time, I'm guessing people who order it directly from NBC won't get it any earlier than those who buy it at the stores on August 12th.

I wouldn'd drool just yet...

The UK had featurettes that lasted about 1-2 minutes each. They were really fun and I hope they include them as easter eggs at least.
