Not that I'll be buying it anyway, but why such a long wait for Spy Kids 3-D?

lwhy? 05-15-03 04:49 PM

Are they releasing the whole Lizzie McGuire series or just the first season? Are all the Recess dvds new and original material? I love that cartoon!

JJE-187 05-15-03 05:31 PM

I bet Lizzie will be a compolation disc like every other "kid-friendly" TV series Disney has released (X-Men, Spidey, Hulk, Recess)

10/07/03 The Lion King - Platinum Edition - I remember how great the CAV laserdisc was, so this should not disappoint

11/04/03 Finding Nemo - Each trailer I see makes me want this so much more. This might become their best movie.

12/02/03 Walt Disney Treasures, Wave 3 - They do such a superb job with these, I learned my lesson with wave 1 and won't wait to get these.

01/27/04 Lilo & Stitch - Special Edition - What can I say... I'm more than happy to double-dip.

08/17/04 Mary Poppins - Special Edition - This movie is very special to me. I saw it as a child when it played at "Grauman's Chinese Theater" and that was my first experience in a large screen theater. If I'm ever down in the dumps, this movie always cheers me up.

10/05/04 Aladdin - Special Edition - I thought it was a Platinum? Ohwell... still a very good movie. Eagerly awaited!.

pretty crappy list if you are not into crappy kids movies.

where are all the crappy non-animated catalog titles?
and the good ones, too :)

dishpan 05-16-03 08:49 AM

ahh sonofa....
more double dipping!

LBPound 05-16-03 09:38 AM

Well, The Lion King II has been out-of-print for over three years now. So, for people who don't want to pay $30+ for it, it's not too bad a re-release.

And Aladdin IS a Platinum Edition. If they're calling it a Special Edition, that means they're tinkering with the film like Beauty & The Beast and Lion King.

If it is, one might want to turn to the UK, where the show is being released in order, by volumes with 5 or 6 episodes per disc.

>>what?! Neither "Escape" or "Return to Witch Mountain"?<<

I think those are coming from Anchor Bay, for some reason.

My question is: Do we have any confirmation on what titles will be part of Disney Treasures Wave 3?

sararekuforever 05-22-03 10:40 PM

DVDPlanet has them both up for pre-order (woohoo!) with a 9/2 release date, along with The Apple Dumpling Gang and three Brave Little Toaster DVDs. SRP on each is $24.99.

September 2004
09/14/04 Mulan 2

Who What Why and How? Loved Mulan but I tend to dislike Disney's straight to home video sequels. Any details?

Why in the world have we not gotten any news on these as much as people here want them, yet they are already up for pre-order? Kinda fishy. Maybe true, but still weird.
