Subtitle Problem in Adaptation

At 1:19:12 on my player, the French subtitle briefly flashes the title of Laroche's website at the bottom of the screen and then the subtitles don't appear after that.

It happens again at 1:19:37 and gives the location caption in French.

I'm on a Toshiba 2109. Anyone else confirm this, or do I have a freak disc?

UPDATE: The subtitles also pop up for the quote from "The 3" at the end.

Shouldn't that be "The Thr3e"?

I've had that problem with the Simpsons sets in my Sony, too. Very strange.

I didn't have any problems with the screener DVD, but then again it certainly wasn't the Superbit release. I'm looking forward to getting the real deal.

Say, what's the average bitrate on that puppy?

I can neither confirm nor deny this problem on my DVD player, as the DVD isn't actually out yet. (At least not for non-special people like myself.)

I wouldn't say that I'm special just for working in a "video store." :(

I'll check the bitrate on it later tonight.

I also have the subtitles popping up on my Sony 550. The French subtitles would come on for translations of things written on screen, like the nametag. I turned the subtitles off on the main menu, and they didn't come up again.

I had the same problem on my Sony 530. Disc problem or just a sony/toshiba problem?

No problem here on my JVC XV-523.

I have the exact problem on my Sony 360.
