Here are my top five choices, with the added qualification that all actually have a chance of being released by Criterion on DVD:
Hobson's Choice (Lean, 1954)
A Matter of Life and Death, a.k.a. Stairway to Heaven (Powell/Pressburger, 1946)
Murmur of the Heart (Malle, 1971) (though the subject matter may put this one in The Tin Drum-type limbo)
Richard III (Olivier, 1956)
Rules of the Game (Renior, 1939)

The Lost Weekend - It's due for a re-release and this movie is perfect for a CC treatment
Battleship Potemkin - Still amazed they haven't done this yet
Devo Video Anthology- Hey, they did Beastie Boys, I can dream
Friday the 13th - needs an SE treatment, and who better to do it than CC?? Yes, I'm serious!
Dodesukaden - Classic Kurosawa (at this rate, they'll eventually have released everything of his, including home videos of his grandchildren
