The G.I Jow series that got released today...

Is it the same one that got released this past February? I read that they were re-issuing the set except there would be limited editions with a Snake-Eyes figure. Any truth to this and is it out today? Just curious.

Yes... out today.

The differences are the new, more expensive, version has creator/writer interviews and an action figure.

Pants: the set has the 2 miniseries (5 parts each) that led to the daily show.

I have the first release, it only has the 2 mini-series, no extras (unless you consider the menus an extra).

No figure either.

Is this one readily available at stores like Best Buy or Circuit City?

I searched everywhere today for the LE release - Best Buy, Borders, FYE, Suncoast, and no one had it.

I doubt it's going to be easy to find...

So did they throw in an extra disc, or did they actually reprint the disc to include the interviews? Or are the interviews on printed inserts?

I got mine in the mail today from Bestbuy.com thinking this was a different set to the one that I bought in Feb. Of course it's the same thing with the action figure so I'm going to return it back to the story. The was suppose to be a new set out today, but it turned out the be the one I got in the mail, I'm very disappointed!

Think I'll wait and see if they have it Thursday at Best Buy when I pick up my Enter the Matrix game.

I saw in at CD world in Jersey for $33.99(10 percent off w/Club CD fridays). But I was quite underwhelmed by the snakeeyes figure. Standard "modern" G.I. Joe(3" inches), but barely any black on Snakeeyes, which was his whole gimmick to me. You can take a look about 1/3 of the way down the doll. I was holding out for this version, but seeing it left me disappointed, and I'm going to consider which disc to get. I'll probably get the one with the creator interviews because it's my favorite cartoon of all time, but for 10 more bucks, I expected more.

Has anyone watched the interviews yet? I'd like to know how good they are, as well as how long, before I decide which version to get.

Is the case any different or is it still the same double-alpha with just an action figure attatched to the outside?
