Will there be 2 disc sets of the Star Trek Next Generation movies?

I am especially wondering because I've held off buying these, and so far I've seen only plan for the first six Trek movies. But what about the ones with the TNG cast, especially Nemesis. I don't want to get it on May 20th if a two disc will come out later on.

I can't see Paramount not cashing in on Generations, that has deleted footage to make a directors cut, especially missing kirks line "lets try and cheat death together" which was on the trailer, but not in the film, and scotty scenes, chevoc, geordi torture scenes, alternative kirk dying scenes, perhaps they filmed a documentry on Patrick and Bill working together. First Conact was huge, and it really seems like it should get one.

I doubt Paramount will let people know of future plans, Nemesis they want people to buy, and if they release it later, well then they'll make money again, we'll see. Still a got a while until they release Trek 6 before we see S.E of tng films I say, so its up to you

I haven't heard anything, but I'd say it's likely.

Paramount has traditionally milked the Trek franchise for all it's worth.

I am holding off on Nemesis until they do. I never saw it in the theater, and will borrow my Dad's copy until a 2 disc comes out.

Hi,

I read somewhere that all of the Star Trek movies would be getting re-released as 2-disc special editions. --Edward

I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been an announcement about Star Trek 5: SE yet.

I wonder if Paramount saw the disappointment among the online community regarding their not allowing Shatner to recut it and are reconsidering? They might be keeping mum until they can settle the details.

I'm in the same boat, but this initial version has deleted scenes, so thats good enough for me. It was a good movie, but not a great one to warrent a second purchase. It is frustrating though, why don't they just release the 2 disk set now? I hate when studio's just think about the $$

I was just over at DVDReview's forums lurking, and they have a poster who always has good inside info, and he said it will be the theatrical release late summer/early fall. 2 disc with commentary, featurettes, but no new cut

I'll buy it again. STVI and GENERATIONS are not anamorphic, so that alone would sway me to buy them.......
