Got a MIR free DVD...but it is off the hub....now what?

My Jaws and The Lost World DVDs came today from some Universal rebate from a while back. I can hear the DVD loose in the Lost World.

What do I do? Open it and hope it's not scratched all to hell? Try and exchange it somewhere without a receipt? Deal with the rebate house/Universal?

My Jurassic Park was off the hub also--no scratches, so I traded it in for the widescreen. Give it a whirl and open it up--it'll take months to get a replacement.

What about exchanging it as some local B&M without a receipt?

Both of my free discs came with the hubs broken and the discs flying free. Neither were damaged. Both play fine.

Also I don't know if you could exchange it at a B&M because they came with the UPC's marred... but YMMV
