So, what are you going to do with your Indiana Jones VHS or LD now?

I went to sell my THX widescreen VHS copy of Raiders on Ebay, but I would be lucky to get $2.00 for it.

tommyp007 05-09-03 09:37 PM

Dad is always happy to take my VHS rejects after I get eh movie on dvd. He'll probably never step up in technology......

TomOpus 05-09-03 09:52 PM

I can't vote since I can't get to my VHS copies.... don't ask. It's a thread worthy of the Otter Farm.

But, I would probably give them away to some poor soul without a DVD player.

gutwrencher 05-09-03 10:07 PM

cant play in your poll....'cause you didnt give the option to "keep them". guess I'll be the only one to keep my tapes. I like back-ups...just in case. just label me one of those "better than nothing" kinda guys. or maybe just a pac-rat-wink-.

Jackskeleton 05-09-03 10:10 PM

Keep them. Who knows what the evil Luca$ will do to screw these up.

damn him!! damn him to hell!!!!!!111

;)

laserdogg 05-09-03 10:10 PM

I'll be keeping all three widescreen laserdiscs. I'm definatly a pack rat.

JoeyOhhhh 05-09-03 11:49 PM

I'm gonna keep my LD of Last Crusade, and maybe frame it and hang it on a wall.

Might pick up Raiders and Temple and do the same :)

jasonnaper 05-09-03 11:52 PM

VHS??
What the heck is that??

danol 05-10-03 12:15 AM

Throw them away, our pawn shop isn't buying Vhs any more. All of my friends are online and will be buying the tri-ology along with this forums buyers.

Our garbage man checks our 3rd floor garbage chute, to see if I have thrown out more vhs. I am not actually throwing them away the garbage guys get it, for their collection with cover art. :)

it's like 8 track but for video, don't bother with it. ;)

Sold the LDs a year ago for $100. Regretted it instantly but I feel relieved now they’re finally announced.

$1.00ea on eBay and I'll be happy for a couple reasons...

A. I got them for free to begin with.
B. My videos on eBay have become like a yard sale. You can only expect a buck or so for used VHS.

marty888 05-10-03 07:47 AM

Sell them .... probably get enough on eBay for them to buy a cup of coffee (well, maybe not at Starbucks, just some corner coffeeshop)

matome 05-10-03 08:18 AM

I'll be keeping all my Japanese and U.S. laserdisc versions.

JimRochester 05-10-03 12:02 PM

I've got the LD's but will probably keep them since they aren't worth much right now.

mrhan 05-10-03 12:50 PM

I'm keeping my LDs just in case they screw up the release.

shill66 05-10-03 01:20 PM

Keep them, of course.

I think you're overestimating the masses who use Ebay. I'll bet you can do better than that, considering many people don't know that it's coming to DVD this year.

Sold my tapes a couple years ago when I got rid of my VCR.

It's been a long wait.

I just put it up for $5.99 - emphasizing THX, widescreen, etc. I hope you are right.

MrBob 05-11-03 08:43 AM

As for the poll I can't vote because I didn't see anything listed for the bootleg dvds :D

Now would be the time to sell your LDS and VHS off on Ebay before, everybody starts hearing about the dvd release.

milo bloom 05-11-03 10:22 AM

I'm keeping my WS VHS set. We've got a spare bedroom that we're making a guest bedroom, and I'm putting together a small VHS movie library for any guests. One thing I'm doing is making sure they're all OAR. So far I have SW, IJ, BladeRunner and a few 4x3 titles.

Regurgitator 05-11-03 02:19 PM

I'm pulling out all of my Indy VHS tapes and using them as ribbons for gift wrapping.

My Indy Laserdiscs will be used as dinner plate coasters/trays.
