bboisvert picked:

Day of the Triffids (1981)
Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)

I have to agree with bboisvert on both picks. I had a friend tape Triffads for me and it was great. I hope this is released soon. And Dark Night of the Scarecrow is a great movie to watch during Halloween.

Let's see if someone can help me out...I remember an 80's movie that was shot to look like a live news broadcast, the story was that a guy had a nuke on a boat etc. I remember there being a crawl every couple minutes that this was a fictional story...I ends with the bomb going off and them losing the signal from the reporter...I was probably 13 years old and it freaked me out good...anyone have a clue as to what I am talking about?

And another vote for The Day After

Special Bulletin

...directed, oddly enough, by the same guy who directed Glory and About Last Night.
