Does anyone else really despise Anchor Bay's new packaging schemes?

I was just wondering anyone else felt the same loathe for Anchor Bay's new way to package 2-dsic sets.

I just picked up the Incredible Hulk 2-discer a week early at a store that will remain nameless (let's just say they have a Superior Purchase) only to see that the packaging is exactly like the Army of Darkness: Boomstick Edition.

Needless to say I was highly disappointed. Anchor Bay used to have such innovative packaging for their sets, too. I mean, they nearly originated the tin package, and the Wicker Man comes in a really wicked cool wooden box.

I'm just praying to God that the upcoming SEs of Day of the Dead and Dawn of the dead don't come in this type of crappy slipcover/fold-out packaging.

i agree..the case for ARmy of darkness is pretty bad..one of the worst I have. I really like the tins and wish they would still release them for some of their titles

Yeah, those white plastic 2-disc cases (also used for MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH and WINTER KILLS) are pretty crappy. I'd prefer a slim 2-disc Amaray to those any day.

They probably started using those 2-disc packages after everyone on the planet was complaining about the tins and other special packaging. You can't please all the people all the time.
