Any info(16x9,etc) on these 5/6 releases- Time Bandits, Hardware & Car Wash?

DvdEmpire has Time Bandits as a preorder with New anamorphic widescreen transfer as the only info. Anchor Bay's site doesn't mention a new version at all? Car Wash is also a reissue & the first was full-frame. Anyone know about this one? And is Hardware the sci-fi movie with the robot from 1990 (there are 3 on IMDB). If so, is it 16x9? I've had all 3 preordered for a long time now & hoped some info would be added closer to the date, but Amazon has no info or release dates for any of them & I've seen no early reviews. Any info would be greatly appreciated so I can cancel any non-16x9s.

Hardware is the 1990 post-apocalyptic movie with Dylan McDermott and Iggy Pop. It's not likely you'll see early reviews on it, as it's among the load of catalogue titles in the cheap line of Buena Vista releases.

I'm guessing TB is just getting a price drop, since Amazon has it listed for a cheaper price than the current Anchor Bay release and of course the Criterion.

I don't think DVDEmpire would state "new anamorphic trasnsfer" if it was just a price drop. They also have the current TB available. I'm guessing that this new dvd has the same transfer as the anamorphic R2 dvd that was released a few months ago.

Same special features as the R2 SE as well? If so, I would gladly double-dip from my Criterion, something I didn't even deign to do for Spinal Tap or Silence of the Lambs. Gosh, I just love Time Bandits that much...

So far we're not sure if Hardware is coming out now & no specs. DvdEmpire seems to be the only place that knows about a new 16x9 Time Bandits on that date & nothing on the Car Wash re-release. I'll have till Wednesday to cancel, so hopefully someone will know.

Well, now Hardware is gone from my order & no longer comes up when you search for it. Plus Time Bandits' date has been changed to TBA, and since Anchor Bay's site doesn't mention it, it will be a while if it's even being worked on. So does anyone know about Car Wash? Seeing my luck on the first 2, I'm guessing it'll be full-frame. My order for next week is getting smaller & smaller.

That really sucks. Well, I was this close to listing my pan&scan laserdisc for next to nothing on ebay. I bet it has to do with music rights.

Well Car Wash is anamorphic widescreen & mono sound. DvdEmpire just added a cover scan. Good news since my order is shipping & I couldn't have removed it. Looks like the other 2 will be quite a while.

Hardware was cancelled? Why would they wait less than a week until the release date to cancel it? How annoying. That was the only title I was planning on buying Tuesday.
