National Lampoons' "Christmas Vacation". This better be in WS or there will be hell to pay. I havent picked up the one currently out because of the damn snapper and FS.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread reading.

i believe Adventures Of Robin Hood was hinted at in a recent chat with John Lowery of Lowery digital, which was responsible for the frame by frame 'ultra-resolution' restoration/transfer of Singin' In The Rain.
he said 'this next movie' was going to be even more incredible.

for anybody that has seen the 2 disc SITR, September can't come soon enough. Robin Hood should be flat out F*#!ing fantastic!

alot of the other titles mentioned in the first post were said to be on the schedule for '04.
we should be seeing promotions for Bogart, Flynn (big Flynn promotion at the end of '04), and Cagney titles, more Thin Man and another great Powell/Loy film- The Libeled Lady, at least one classic film noir The Postman Always Rings Twice, and silent films will finally start seeing the light of day as well.

much much to be looking forward to.

Nothing on the list interests me, except maybe the Vacation DVDs, and Casablanca, but only if it does indeed have commentary by Roger Ebert.

Not sure if Goodfellas: SE is going to be soon --- the impression I got from the HTF Chat is that it is a while off.

Yeah sounds like the Goodfellas SE may be a while yet (since they say it depends on "Mr. Scorceses availability")

It says Treasure of the Sierra Madre will be a Fall release, so at least I don't have much longer to wait for that.

Well worth reading the whole thing. "That's Entertainment" is another title often mentioned on this forum they say is coming out.

That's the point of the re-releases for both Vegas Vacation and Christmas Vacation. 16x9 widescreen. I'm there!

I'm glad about the Vacation dvds. With the mention of re-releasing comedies that were only fullscreen before, I hope they re-release "My Fellow Americans". It's one of my favorite movies.

Dr X /Mystery of the Wax Musem, WarnerBros classics overdue on DVD!

What great news!! I can't wait for The Adventures of Robin Hood with that fabulous technicolor it's just like a 1930's childrens book illustration so full of colour. As I've said in several earlier threads Warner should turn their attention to Doctor X and The Mystery of The Wax Museum in two color technicolor - and Universal should bring out The King of Jazz with Paul Whiteman also in two color technicolor!

To Have and Have Not!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. This is the only VHS tape that I saved so now I can toss it. Casablanca should be good too especially if the Ebert commentary rumors are true. Dial M For Murder will be a great addition to the Hitchcock collection too. Now all I have to do is hope that none of these titles are in those annoying snapper cases.

The full original Mystery of the Wax Museum is going to be an extra on the House of Wax DVD. I'd prefer it to be separate myself, but I'll just take it any way I can get it!

Tom & Jerry collections
What's the point of releasing these collections if they will continue to censor the episodes?

I say don't even bother.

Sorry but seems like they are still going to use the snappers for a while. Still, they are going to keep on releasing their 2 disc sets in digi-paks. I love those.
