A CHRISTMAS STORY 16x9 coming!!!

I couldn't find this mentioned, so here is a quote from the Home Theater Forum chat with Warner Bros. last night:

"we have a new 16x9 20th Anniversary
CHRISTMAS STORY special edition coming in time for the holidays."

Lots of other good releases mentioned too, but this is one I have really been waiting for!

I applaud Warner for finally corrected all those P&S comedy and family titles they put out.

Other titles of interest:

Casablanca 60th Anniversary
Smallville, E.R., Dukes of Hazard and other TV shows (not mentioned)
Police Academy films "on the way"
THX-1138 next year
Tom and Jerry Uncut
16x9 X-mas and Vegas Vacation

Good to hear and now I'm glad that I've held out the several times I considered buying it before.

I wonder if the DVD case will be stamped "Fra-gee-ley". That's Italian, you know.

That's a good read; thanks for the link. It looks like my holding off of buying Casablanca is going to pay off. I can't say the same for A Christmas Story. It's an easy double dip for me though. I'm also looking forward to a 10th Anniversary Edition of The Shawshank Redemption. That's another easy double dip for me.

The current Christmas Story DVD is not Pan & Scan, it's "open matte".

That list is amazing. You know how long it's going to take me to update my release list? That's OK though.

I'm stoked about some of those releases.

Too bad they didn't mention "man with one red shoe" in that list.

Hurray! One of my most favoritest movies!!!!!

There is a lady on my blaock that hasa bay window and I SWEAR in that window she has a lighted goose lamp! It so reminds me of the leg lamp! Plus they keep their X-Mas lights on until March.

Anyways.. great news!
