1981's DRAGONSLAYER ?
 

I'm not talking about DragonHeart, I'm talkink about 1981's, somewhat dark, violent, and really cool Dragonslayer.
I would really like to see this on DVD.
It was ILM's first, non-Star-Wars project.
Ever hear any news of a dvd release ?

It is coming in October I believe.

Being a fan-boy of this film, I HAVE to ask where you heard this! Any resource available where we can check the release date and get our orders in?

Last I heard was that an SE was being considered but there were rights issues to be resolved as the film's budget was split between two companies - ala Titanic...

Would be great if it was to happen this soon!

Oh, HO! Paramount does retain home video rights, eh!? Most excellent! Can you give anymore details regarding widescreen, or color correction? The laser was a HORRID transfer! But I was still giddy to have it in OAR!

Excellent, this is one of my most wanted movies not currently on DVD. I can't wait to finally be able to watch on something besides an old, banged up VHS tape.

Dragonslayer, The Keep, and Captain Kronos, The Vampire Slayer all in one day from Paramount!? -eek- I hope it's true! Unless of course they'd like to release any of those titles sooner. That would be okay too. ;)

I'm hoping the quality is good, both video and audio, but it is from 1981. :p

It lived up to my expectations. I've read where some people want the special effects "cleaned up". I thought they looked fine. But if someone wants to spend the $$$$$$$ down the road & clean then up for a S.E. with some extras, well I'll buy it again!
