Dante's Peak DTS sound problems: bad disc?

I just watched my copy of Dante's Peak DTS (from deep discount DVD), and noticed numerous loud popping sounds in the DTS track throughout the movie. I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this. If it's common to all pressings of this movie, I guess I'm screwed, but if I have a defective disc I'll send it back right away.

On a related note, how is DDD's return policy? Can I expect to wait three months for a replacement?

I must say, I had those same popping sounds on my Dolby Digital LD of Dante's Peak. No one I tried to explain this to understood what I was talking about - I hope this thread helps us both out.

Well, I just watched it and didn't hear any popping sounds, other than when I was munching on food. Sorry...

Just watched my dts Dante's Peak a few days ago. I didn't notice any problems at all. I have watched this disk several times and never had any audio problems with it. I would return it for another disk.

I just got my copy from DDD last week. I'd better check it I guess.
