Which halloween should i buy?

With all those versions of halloween out there i was wondering which one people think is the best one on the market. I am looking for halloween I and could use any help you could give

By the way there were 11 pages on the search so i didnt look through all of them if i missed it could you please link me to the thread

there is a new anniversary edition coming out on August 5th..it will have the commentary from the Criterion laserdisc..not sure what else though...this is the one i'm waiting for

Correctamundo... Wait on it. It also has the 1 hour making of doc and other nice extras... So, sit tight and wait for the 25th Anniversary Edition. It looks to be shaping up as the "definitive" version of the theatrical cut. Damn_shame too, now I have to double dip.

Yes...undoubtedly best to bide your time until the 25th Anniversary edition is released by Anchor Bay..and bear in mind it will probably be released in various guises by Anchor Bay another dozen times after that

Don't buy the one coming out this year, because Anchor Bay will replace it with the ultra-super duper-premuim edition next year. And the year after that, and after that.....

Id say wait for the anniversary edition coming out if only for the commentary track thats been missing out in previous editions, Carpenter's tracks are always fun and informative and im dying to hear him discuss his most famous film.
