Any Spec's for Oscar (Stallone)?

Oscar is comming out 5/6/2003 (only a few weeks a way) and I cannot find any specs. Amazon and DVDEmpire list the movie, but non say whether it is 16:9 or whatever.

Does anyone have the details?

BILLinGA 04-18-03 10:27 AM

I do not have any details yet but I did order it from DVDEmpire. I have always loved this movie and I have been dying for it to come out on DVD.

Cool. I didn't know this was coming out. Very funny movie. I would think that it would at least be animorphic. It better be anyway or :(

I have my figers crossed its anamorphic-- although it is selling for $10 at many places.

highdef 04-20-03 08:44 AM

I'm pretty certain that IT IS ANAMORPHIC. The recently released Bette Midler flick, STELLA, sold for the same price from Buena Vista and it didn't originally specify that it would be 16x9 enhanced and IT WAS! I would be shocked if OSCAR wasn't.

Rockybalboa 04-20-03 08:56 AM

Don't be surprised if it is not, the last group of bargin movies was mixed, Gone Fishin was NOT anamorphic, yet Spaced Invaders was. I hope it is.

<b>"Sittenze!"</b> This is one title my wife and I have been waiting a loooong time for! Glad it's finally seeing the light of day. We'll be purchasing it <i>expeditiously</i>.

I ordered this from DDD and it shiped today.

I will let everyone know specs when it arrives.

LBPound 05-01-03 08:18 PM

According to the back, it's anamorphic:

There are no special featurs at all, it's another one of them barebones disc just like most Stallone dvds are.

I can't wait for this movie.

One of my really favorite Sly flicks. :)

jamieoni 05-02-03 12:26 PM

DeepDiscount has the movie for $6.30. I am a huge Marisa Tomei fan and she is hilarious in this, so what the hell. I'm going for it.

Stallone in a funny movie??? You got to be kidding me. I may have to see it to believe it.

Sly had done comedies.

"Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot"
"Tango and Cash"

and a few others.

I've seen/heard of all of them ... Rhinestone, etc.
I just can't believe people think they are funny or would buy them. To each their own.

The only Stallone comedy I enjoyed, unless you count Demolition Man, which had a decent amount of comedy with the action.

I picked this up today, well actually Saturday, from BB - obviously, they put it out early - I had my eyes open for it. Oddly enough, there wasn't an insert inside - I'm wondering if it'll just be my copy, or if this is the way it's going to be.

Damage 05-22-03 02:14 PM

It's been a few weeks since the proposed release date for OSCAR and I've yet to find it anywhere here in my neck of the woods. Even Futureshop's website doesn't have it listed... and they did have it listed a few weeks ago. Anyone else have trouble finding it?
