Suh-weet.

I thought The Two Towers was way too short in the theater... Felt too hurried and cramped. It's nice to see that PJ agrees...

I thought it was a good length for a film. I got restless on my second viewing of TT. Granted it's condensed from the book but to sit for that long in one viewing is hard for me so making the movie longer would not have been the answer IMHO. However on DVD a longer cut is fantastic. I can break between disc one and two, like I did with the Fellowship EE.

Let's hope it isn't 43 minutes of handing out gifts like in the first movie.

Whoa! 43 minutes? I wonder how much will be added to the already excellent Helm's Keep battle.

I liked the gift giving scenes. More Cate Blanchett.

208 minutes for the 1st one
222 for the 2nd
~230 for the 3rd
--------
660 minutes = 11 hours

I pity the fool that tries to watch all of these in a row...

Well, I'll definately wait for the EE on this one instead of wasting $15 on the TC.

Heck, Peter Jackson could have added 43 min of her just blabbering about nothing at all and I'd still have bought it.

Finally broke down and bought the EE of FOTR this weekend. I will definitely be waiting for the EE of Two Towers this time around.

Now to dump the 2-disc version somewhere...

Can't wait for this!

I'm curious about the packaging, actually. Will they be using a green case again, or another color? Personally, I'd like to see a dark blue case for TTT and maybe a reddish one for RotK.

I don't really care what color the case is as long as it [all three] look good next to one another on the shelf. I like the old book look for these sets.

If it wasn't for that gift-giving scene, I would have wondered where they got the bread and stuff at the beginning of The Two Towers.

I can not wait for this one, and I too will pass on the non-EE version this time around (bought BOTH of FOTR before I knew better). What's the release date for this beauty?

True that. Like near the beginning of Se7en. Brad Pitt is shown carrying a couple cups of coffee. Where did he get them? Did they appear from thin air? Ruined the whole movie for me.
