did this disc get an anamorphic transfer or could I as well just get the RC3 disc...?

yeah most of the Rolling Thunder (unless I am wrong) releases are Anamorphic, because for the most part, QT undertakes the whole project/release of the film, Miramax simply sells it

Switchblade Sisters isn't anamorphic sadly.
