the movie will play the first hour or so fine then it freezes, I tried replaying it agin from that point and it worked fine for about 5 minutes then started freezing again, and the dang trailer doesn't play at all I have a crappy GE1105P player, I'm gonna upgrade when I get enough money saved but until then I'd like to see OCS.

You need a new player now, your laser is shot. You can buy a replacement Sony or Panasonic for 99.00, or a no-name as low as 49.99

How can the laser be shot since it'll play my other DVDs?I do need another player with DTS and all the works but I simply don't have to money at the moment

When a laser goes out of alignment, some movies play fine, others do not, it will get gradually worse. You started off with a low end player, they use cheap pick-ups.
