DVDs and Storage Temperatures

I know that leaving DVDs in your car during a hot day can damage the discs. But can leaving DVDs in your car overnight, with the car being parked outside damage them? What's the temperature range for DVD storage?

"Store in temperature between 40 and 85 degrees F, in a dry place away from children"

Oh wait that's medication
;)

but sriously to answer your question, I doubt temperature changes will hurt the discs, just avoid extreme heat
:)

maybe...but my motto is why take a chance. besides, I think a bigger threat would be having some junkie bust into your ride and trade your discs for a crackrock.

Agreed, 100%. If I can leave my car and go into my house, I might as well pick up my discs and take them in with me. I've already been jacked on DVDs one time, and I don't want it to happen again, along with having damage done to my car.

well, you probably shouldn't leave them in your car on a hot day for an extended period of time. if i do leave something valuable (or something that might be stolen), i usually put it in the glove box, under the chair, under some clothes...basically hide it so it can't be seen.

No, I mean stolen from my apt. If I buy something it's when I'm on my way home anyway, so that's not an issue.
