Aspect ratios for Buena Vista's upcoming "budget" titles?
Does anyone have or know where to get specs for Buena Vista's budget titles (like next week's (4/8) An Innocent Man and My Father The Hero)? I can never find any info on them, and while I do have a bunch of them pre-ordered, I'm always worried that they may turn out to be pan & scanned or MARed. Thanks.

Disney never really seems to confirm specs on these until they street. One idea is to check an e-tailer like DVD Empire a week or so before street. They seem to do a good job of scanning the back-cover art of titles as they receive them into their inventory.
Currently they have art up for An Innocent Man, Life With Mikey and Scenes From A Mall all listed as Widescreen 1.85:1 (Anamorphic).
The Inkwell and My Father The Hero are listed as Widescreen 1.85:1 (Anamorphic) but no cover art up yet to back that up.
New York Stories is up as well, BUT is listed as Full Frame 1.33:1.

Cool, Life with Mikey IS anamorphic. All of the other titles are listed in widescreen on Video.com, but they don't specify anamorphic. New York Stories is the only 1.33:1 release coming this Tuesday, according to Video.com.

The 1954 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has a OAR of 2.55:1 anamorphic filmed in Cinema Scope and it's a 2 disc set. Sound has been remastered with every bell and whistle in DD, DTS etc. and is set to release May 20.
Captain Nemo (latin for No One) and Ed Land on the cover art keep case, played by actors James Mason and Kirk Douglas.
Alligator green eyes, actually one light but two elongated glass port holes, for the sea monster look. I first seen this movie (matinee) for 25¢ on December 23, 1954 at age 7, dads price was 35¢ at the Capital Theatre in my home town. The theatre has been turned into what it started out as, an Opera House.
