taken from www.digitalbits.com
In another brief Warner tidbit, the latest issue of American Cinematographer features an article on the restoration of Singin' in the Rain. According to the article, the next project on the restoration slate (currently underway) is the original classic The Adventures of Robin Hood. So you can reasonably expect a DVD release in late 2003 or 2004.
love this film - hope it's done properly ie: 2 disc special edition a la singin in the rain - this year could end up being a very expensive year!

VERY timely post! I was just about to start a thread to ask about this film.
I can't wait to see this in all it's restored glory....I LOVE the Flynn/Rathbone fencing sequence!

Adventures Of Robin Hood & others
Very good news indeed! This is a true classic and I was mad that it hasn't been released up to now, so I am relieved to know that its release is upcoming and that it will be restored in all its Technicolor glory. Now if we can only get these releases announced!:
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
The Naked Prey
Mutiny On The Bounty (Clark Gable, of course)
The Prince & The Pauper (another classic Errol Flynn pic)
Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller, of course)
Bad Day At Black Rock
Ride The High Country
Bonanza box set
Get Smart box set
The Fugitive box set (David Janssen)
Gilligan's Island box set (no insults, please!)
Leave It To Beaver box set (wishful thinking, I know)
Urgh! A Music War
Gunsmoke box set

I'm right with you on Gilligan's Island. I hope they can locate and include the original pilot that had several other different actors in it...!
For me, you can add The Munsters and Miami Vice as guilty pleasures from TV-gone-bye that I'll snap up in a hurry.
