Possibly thee worst item in my collection is the Madacy TWO WOMEN DVD - I don't think I could even find a VHS (of anything) that's as unwatchable because of the poor quality (bleached out sequences, murky and muddy, unreadable subtitles - Madacy has it all!). I've seen the title also on Delta/Laserlight, and was wondering if anyone has it and could comment.

I've had the Delta version sitting on my shelf for about a year. It's unopened and I've been waiting for a review. Why don't you be a Good Samaritan and bite the bullet on this one? (I've read enough about the Madacy version to steer clear of it.) You will receive much positive karma from this forum if you post your results!

HUH? I asked for a review, and you're suggesting that I go out and buy it and let YOU know if you should watch the copy that's sitting on your shelf? Thanks, but I think I'll pass. (Just wondering - are ALL your contributions to these forums so helpful?)

The Video quality is so-so, not good but watchable, the aspect ration is about 1:77-1:85, B&W and a dubbed english sound track. I have not seen the Madacy version but from other painful Madacy discs I've seen I would guess that the Laserlight version would be an improvement. Keep in mind the dubbed sound track.

The Delta version costs like 5 bucks. Any particular reason why you wouldn't just open your copy to look at it? Do you think it'll "lose value" if you open the shrink wrap? Just curious...

Anyway, I watched this a long time ago (and didn't keep it), but I agree with brez -- mediocre, but not terrible, video quality. It is definitely an improvement over the Madacy version. Actually, every Delta title I've seen is an improvement over the Madacy version.

Sorry, Marty, if my sense of humor (?) was mistaken for something more. (If I had actually watched this DVD, I would have given you better input. Think of my answer as a way of "bumping" this topic and generating responses.)

bboisvert:

I have a large collection of unopened DVDs and I never got around to watching this one yet. If I find out a DVD has a bad transfer, I have a place I can return unopened DVDs for credit. Label me as cheap, lazy, and patient.
