It is one of the few movies I didn't finish, not that I didn't like it very much, it was just very long and due back for a rental at BB and i never got around to renting it again. I think this is a tilte you need to be in the mood to watch and not something you could pop in any time. Brad Pitt was pretty good in it but the movie does not stand out in my mind.

I thought it was one of the better movies I've seen. After borrowing it from a friend, it was a definite "must-have" on my DVD list. It has a pretty compelling story relating how the Brad Pitt character (a Nazi) is transformed after befriending the Dali Lama.

I agree with the critic who said it was like "seven years in your seat".

I'll give you my review. . ."but you have to ask nicely!"

It definitely could have been trimmed down to a more watchable length. I thought it would have been more interesting to explore the character's Nazi-sympathetic background in contrast to the mountain-climber-in-search-of-enlightenment character they give you in this movie.

Whether you will like the movie all depends on what sorts of movies you like. It'd definitely a drama.

Myself? I usually hate dramas, and so naturally I couldn't stand 7 Years in Tibet. I found it unbelievably boring for the most part...
