This DVD is nicely done, but I gather there must have been a last minute decision to yank the deleted scences?

On the commentary track, at 1:18:12, the director mentions twice that "you'll see this in the outtakes." But I see no outtakes to be found, which is too bad because they sounded quite interesting.

I'm also surprised that no one has revied this disk here so far (at least, none shows up in the database.)

I can't even pull up the DVDtalk review, as they all are coming up as down at the moment.

But I digress. http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif

I thought exactly the same thing after reading the liner that came with the DVD. It describes an alternate ending which they thankfully did not use (for reasons stated on the liner).

Great movie, and another great DVD from Dreamworks!

Yea they have been calling this DVD the "Awards Edition". Does that mean there will be another special edition or collectors edition out soon?

IIRC, Sam Mendes decided not to include the deleted scenes(courtroom scene at the end) because it would have change the tone of the movie.

the director didn't want people questioning his "brilliance."
