Tourist Trap - a rather gruesome (and well done) PG rated horror film. Originally released in 1979, this cult favorite is most notable for featuring a pre-Charlie's Angels Tanya Roberts.
For the most part, the movie plays like a Tales From the Crypt episode (especially that ending). The music score is very good (much like The Howling and the early films of Brian DePalma). Not on par with Halloween, but this film is fine and would make a great double feature with Phantasm.
The DVD is, thankfully, letterboxed and has an audio commentary by the director. A long trailer is included as are the cast bios. There's also a little featurette from the director who talks about what making a low-budget horror film was like in the '70's.
Recommended.
