I just got the Collector's Edition dvd of DePalma's Scarface, and it really looks like garbage. Did I get a defective copy, or did Universal just really cheese this one together? All of the dark scenes look ridiculously grainy, and all of the blacks look like muddy gray. Most of the bright exterior stuff look pretty sharp, but a good 30% of the film looks horrible. Now, I don't have the greatest dvd player in the world, or the best tv, but i've never had this problem. I put in other discs to see if it was a bad connection or something, but it wasn't. The widescreen vhs looks better! Does anyone else have this problem?
