I know the movie (have it on tape), but am curious to know if it's worth it on DVD. My daughter's name is also Anastasia; I was thinking when she's old enough, she'll be interested in the story.

I found only one review:

Any other input? Should I wait for something better, or is this pretty much it?

Thanks!

I think so. Despite being non-anamorphic, it is one of the nicest discs Fox put out before altering policy...of course, it still isn't anamorphic. Some of the extras are OK--particularly for kids. Here's mine and my daughter's full review: Anastasia.

Yeah, the movie looks great. It's one of the few 2.35:1 widescreen animated flicks, so it looks great with the detail of DVD. The laserdisc of the film came out only a few months before the DVD, so the transfer is recent and good.

It sounds like I'll get it when I find a good deal. http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/smile.gif

bob_mandel, your link doesn't work for me. I end up at the dvdtalk main page. A review search only reveals two reviews, neither from you.

Thanks for everyone's input!
