Ordered my DTS verstion and received it today, Oct 5th, from BUY.COM. Also they showed on their site that my order is complete. Love this site. Never had a problem.

The DTS Version comes with the Dolby 5.1 version also. It is also Playstation 2 compatible. It has 60 minutes of extras also.

On my system, Tosh TW65H80, Denon 3300, Paradigm sound system and Tosh DVD with component connection....well, it was sweet. Lights off, can only see my screen. My home theater experience beats any theater in town. Dont have to deal with cell phones, talking, drunks, druggies, uncomfortable chairs, shitty sound systems...I gotta tell ya...I love it.

One thing though...not sure if its because I dont have my sub calibrated right or not but I didnt really get a "deep" sense of bass. And I didnt feel there was much use of surrounds. But I will have to listen again as for this showing tonight, I was just totally sucked into the flick.

I will also listen to the 5.1 version to see if I can detect a difference. I read all about these reviews saying there is no difference but sound is so subjective. To the reviewers ears, there may not be...yet to mine, there may be. So I wouldnt worry about it too much especially since both formats are on the DTS Version.

Oh ... and the video transfer was flawless...absolutely flawless. No artifacts, nothing. I only had one layer part that stalled but only for a micosecond but it was noticeable. However, my lo end dvd player does this alot on the newer dvd's. I'm sure that will stop when I upgrade to the Tosh 5109 or the Pioneer DV-37.

That's it for now. Enjoy.

Why wouldn't it be compatible?

Hmmmm....could have sworn when the opening screen popped up, it gives me two choices...DTS and DOLBY 5.1. Just like my Twister disc...it has both formats although you have to change it under languages.

Hmmmm...let me double check it tonight and I will report back.

That's Dolby Prologic you're looking at there. Get a bigger screen http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/wink.gif
