Alright, I'm hoping someone has purchased this movie and can give us a review. How's the audio and video and which version of the movie is it? Also, should we still hold out for Rhino release coming out in October? Thanks.

Still waiting for mine. The shipping from Canada takes weeks.

I got the Canadian version of Transformers: The Movie today and I was neither impressed nor disappointed. The video quality is very good during most of the film, however at times you will see a flicker or a quality noting a bad/old print. The audio is not Pro Logic or Dolby Digital, simply stereo. What really disapointed me about the audio is that the track is filled with static and this becomes very noticable at a higher volume level. When you begin the movie you will notice the static at any volume level, but as the film progresses you will get used to it and no longer notice. Overall, I am glad just to see Transformers on DVD. Now we just have to wait for the Rhino release and hope that they do this movie justice in terms of extras and quality.

Well, Rhino did recently release a DVD version of GI Joe: The Movie, and It has exceptional sound and picture quality for a film that is over 13 years old. I have faith that the Transformers DVD will rock.
