What was wrong with this movie?? Can someone who owns this fill me in on what you like or liked about it? (Besides the quick shot of Ashley Judd sitting down in the bath tub)

It was certainly one of the most unsatisfying movies of the year. I was SO frustrated at the ending of this film, I felt like I had sat through 90 mins of set up for nothing!

I don't think anyone can take the worst film of 2000 crown away from Battlefield Earth.

Eye of the Beholder may suck, but I don't know if it could be as bad as the other Ashley Judd gem, Double Jeopardy (AKA The fugitive 3) After seeing this I realize that for the fugitive 4 TLJ should chase a black woman.

Fugitive 1= Tommy lee Jones chasing a white man

Fugitive 2= (US Marshalls)= Tommy Lee Jones chasing a black man

Fugitive 3= (Double Jeopardy)= TLJ chasing a white woman

Fugitive 4=.........

Topgun94, I can't agree with you more. Battlefield Earth has to be the worst movie of this century. The hard earned dough wasted on a dumb movie!!! Eye Of The Beholder is way better that BE because... Ashley Judd's in it. She kicks ass!!! If it weren't for Ashley, nobody would go see those crap movies! Peace, you all!

Eye of the Beholder really disappointed me considering two actors Ashely and Ewan who I really like were in it. Ewan is very dull in this movie with the acting range of a fruit fly and Ashley tries her best with this material. If it weren't Ashley being in it I wouldn't have bothered to rent it! The ending was particulary stupid so I only recommend this to hard-core Ashely Judd fans.

The reason it sucks is because it's a remake
of french director Claude Miller's film
Mortelle Randonnée and we all know
that this kind of recycling always sucks...

Ashley Judd.....Mmmmmm. I like. Unfortunately, based on all the movies I've seen her in, her acting is at best mediocre. But who cares anyway? Ashley Judd...Ashley Judd.

Ashley Judd has annoyed the living piss out of me ever since her part as "nagging housewife #1" in A Time to Kill. Her lack of acting ability nullifies the little beauty she exhibits. I don't know what you guys see in her.

Or Jennifer Tilly, for that matter!

Yes, watch the original and realize that
Ashley Judd can't touch Isabelle Adjani

Hey, Double Jeopardy was good. Well, it was good for a while. Well, it was good while they were on the boat atleast.

For the longest time, I felt that Ashley Judd was one of the most wasted talents working these days (anyone who says she can't act should see Ruby in Paradise first).

However, now that she clearly has the star power to choose her own vehicles and is still wasting her talent, I'm beginning to wonder. It is truly a shame.

thankfully i haven't seen battlefield scientology, but bringing out the dead was terrible too, and the talented mr. ripoff? there was a sinker for ya also, but i agree, eye of the beholder was one of the 5 worst movies i have ever seen, along with the other two i seen above, sadly, those were my last 3 rentals i think, oh well, at least they were only a dollar

I only wish I had seen this post BEFORE i rented this dud and wasted an hour and a half or so of my life. The only worth while part is the tub sceen but then again there is the tub sceen and not much else except a very unsatifying ending...

It took 2 years for this film to be released after it was finished, which indicates that it's probably not a masterpiece.

I haven't seen Battlefield Earth and I never intend to, but I hope that Ashley Judd's hoots are enough to save Eye of the Beholder from being the worst movie of 2000. After seeing that movie, I think those nips are all that can save it.

No one has gone into much detail on what they didn't like about the movie.

So what did you all not like about the film? The characters were a bit screwed in the head. The scenery was great. There is a colorful little bit with Jason Priestley. How did you want it to end?

It wasn't a movie I had seen before, but I haven't seen Mortelle Randonnée. Hopefully I can at some point.

The rating on IMDB makes it sound terrible, but I've enjoyed it through two viewings. My blood pressure never really shot up while watching it, but it isn't that kind of movie.

Decent extras and anamorphic transfer.

Definitely not for everyone, but if you enjoyed Frantic or Vertigo, you might enjoy this one.

Um... how many people who say EOTB was the worst movie actually saw BE?

Batterfield Earth (or "Me & my Scientologist friends play dress up") was unwatchable.
