Iron Monkey has a fairly good video transfer and decent audio in both Cantonese and Mandarin (better than some earlier Hong Kong movies out on DVD, at least). The English subtitle translation is horrid, but passable for watching the movie; what you're here for is not the dialogue anyways, but the incredible action sequences by Yuen Woo Ping (The Matrix). There's even an English dub on the disc, but it's truly horrible.

There is a couple of places you could try for information and reviews about Hong Kong movies.

One is the Hong Kong Movie Database and another good one for forums on Hong Kong films is the Asian Xpress Messageboards.

If these two sites in addition to the one mentioned in the above reply don't have what your looking for, you ain't gonna find it.

Regards...

Iron Monkey released by Mega Star features an above average video tranfer(a bit grainy at the beginning but the picture gets better) w/ three audio choices(5.1 in Mandarin and Cantonese and Mono in English)and 8 subtitles. While the translation on the English subtitle(removeable) is serviceable it still contains grammar and syntax errors(still viewable - funnier this way ). Directed by Yuen Woo Ping and stars Yu Rong-Guang and Donnie Yen. The movie is a chinese-version of Robin-hood - fairly pace with action sequences enhanced by wire.

Tai Chi II released by Tai Seng features an above video transfer(a few nicks and scratches here and there - overall an excellent transfer)w/ three audio choices(Mandarin,Cantonese and English) - also has removeable English subtitles. Not as good as "Iron Monkey" the movie does feature a few action sequences worth watching. Directed by Yuen Woo Ping and stars Jacky Wu and Christy Chung. The story revolves around corrupt officials and English merchants smuggling opium in the country.

Wing Chun released by Tai Seng features an average transfer(very clean print - the film has a yellow haze/tint -could just be my eyes )w/three audio choices Mandarin,Cantonese and English. Subtitles are removeable. Another great action film by Michelle Yeoh. Need I say more ...the DVD is much better than the VHS release.

Tai Chi Master released by Universe(Remastered version) features a clean transfer and a much better frame than the previous release but as a result the colors are muted(others have noted the overcast look to the film). The DVD features two audio choices(Mandarin and Cantonese in 5.1) and removeable English Sub.

Other HK Cinema Resources:

Hong Kong Film on DVD - Muldoon's excellent HK resource for movies.
Kowloonside.com - features reviews of dvd's and current theatrical HK movies.
Hong Kong Cinema: Viewed from the Brooklyn Bridge - Another extensive HK review site.
HK Movie Database - HK resource page with extensive information of HK films.
Beyond the Blade - Another review site on HK/Anime/Asian cinema.

Enjoy
