Hey did anyone see the Spike Jonze interview on the Malkovich DVD and just roll over laughing?

I sure did, I want to know your thoughts and if there is any other on the interview, aka was it staged or was it actually real.

yeah, that had me rolling. great extra. nice to see a hollywood personality who (if it's real) is unconcerned enough about his image that he could let this sort of thing get on the disc.

by the way, does anyone else have a problem with the transfer on this disc? it's about the darkest and lowest contrast set of images i've seen on DVD. it's so dark that it's almost unwatchable...

Hmm...I thought the tranfer was fine. Very strange extras, especially the one with the goofy woman driving her car.

I didn't think it was nice or funny. In fact, it scared the living f*ck out of me. There I was cheerful from all the other fun extras, when I see this interview and just gasp. And the idiot cameraman "focuses" in... There are some people who have a problem with that type of a situation, which incidentally may compel them to do the same, and it's kind of unfair to be caught completely off guard. Ick..

When I saw the movie in the theater ... it was dark and contrasty.

I think Spike's interview was a set-up. Notice how the camera pulls away as Spike jumps out of the car to "vomit."

He had to have put something in his mouth during the time the camera pulled away. Just don't know why it was such an abrupt cut off.

I thought that extra about the background driving was one of the most interesting things I've seen on a DVD. I didn't find the Spike Jonze interview very appealing, but then again, if that's what the man wants to do, that's what he wants to do!

I wouldn't even call it an interview. Spike Jonze never actually answered any questions.
